Do you remember last year when my little guy made his own Valentine's Day Treats to exchange at school? You can read about that HERE.
I was thinking he might like to do that again and when I was at Stampin' Up!'s Leadership Conference last month, my friend Meg Wheeler, had a fabulous swap that I begged her for. I knew it would be something my little Alex might want to make. When I got home, I set it out in an obvious place in my stamp room, and when he saw it he said "Mom, can I make these for school?" Of course honey!
Here was Meg's original swap that she gave me.

Then we modified it to make it VERY kid friendly. Alex and I worked together to make a design that he liked, he could make himself and didn't look so "girly."
This is what we came up with. He was excited to find out it fit TWO more Pixie Sticks than the sample! He was also very picky in making sure there wasn't more than two Pixie Sticks of each color per pouch! So cute!

Here he is working hard making his class treats. He did everything himself! He is a Big Shot expert!

The project uses
Real Red, Basic Black and Whisper White cardstock
123131 Petite Pocket Die
119883 Full Heart Punch
117332 Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslit
119855 Large Oval Punch
119856 Scallop Oval Punch
104330 Stampin' Dimensionals
And of course, Pixie Sticks
I used the Tombo Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755) to hold it together (Yes, I did do this part- it would have been a HUGE mess if he attempted). Sticky Strip could have also been used, but for saving time with making such a large amount, I used the Multipurpose.
What do you think of his handywork? Let me know!
Happy Stamping,
Brenda
