Oops. I just realized I've been neglecting my blog lately. Just busy doing the usual "stuff." Lots of end of the year activities. It is hard to believe school is over for the kiddos NEXT WEEK!!! And I was wearing a winter sweater yesterday on Mother's Day. Get ready for the pool! Hopefully it will warm up soon.
So, I thought I'd post everyone's favorite card from my last stamp camp in April. It is quite a simple technique, yet it looks absolutely exquisite. Very elegant! This card was a swap on the Bermuda Cruise I went on that a friend of mine participated in. I took a quick picture of it and didn't change much. It was beautiful the way it was.
I'm realizing that the picture doesn't do justice to this card. To make this card, you simply cut a piece of white tissue paper just a bit larger than the white cardstock piece. Stamp your flower images on the tissue paper and then color it to your liking. Then, crumple up the tissue paper. I un-crumpled mine and crumpled it up again a few times. Flatten out the tissue paper, Next, completely cover the plain white piece of cardstock and lay the tissue paper on top. It will leave a nice wrinkled effect so it looks like silk. Beautiful.
