Shelli Gardner, Co-founder and CEO of Stampin' Up! started her own blog this summer. It is fun to visit. It gives you an insight to what her life is really like. I don't think I've met a more genuine person in my life. On her blog, she has stamping samples, but also talks a lot about her cherished family. Shelli does a fabulous job of making her family feel important and had done a pretty darn good job of balance in her life. You can visit her blog at www.soshelli.com.
Stampin' Up's punches can make so many things. I think at each of my stamp classes we have made a card that has an image made out of punches. This owl card is from the KC Regionals. It uses a variety of punches. The head is the Round Tab Punch, the wings are the Scallop Circle Punch that is cut apart. The body is the new 1 3/4" circle punch. The feet is a flower from Boho Bloosoms punch, and the eyes are made with different smaller circle punches. Isn't he cute? Let's call him Oliver the Owl. Enjoy!
You know sometimes when you get a new stamp and you ink it up with a inkpad and more often times with markers, the ink balls up instead of having nice, even coverage. Then, when you stamp, it doesn't look like a nice crisp image. This happens a most of the time with stamps that have a large, bold image. To fix this, you need to make the rubber not so slick. Some suggest to use a nail buffer to make the ink. I've tried this and it's ok, but I've recently came across the BEST IDEA EVER!!! First, make sure your stamp is cleand and then just rub it across the carpet. This takes the smoothness of the rubber off, but doesn't leave the streak marks of the nail buffer! Let me know if you've ever had this problem and what your solution is.
We'll be making this super cute and very easy card at stamp camp this month - tomorrow night and Tuesday morning. Of course, there are more amazing projects we will be doing. There are still spots left, so email me asap if you'd like to attend.
This card uses the Ski Slope Designer paper from the Winter Mini Catalog - it is super cute! the scallop is made with the Scallop Edge punch.

Oh, everyone is crazy about Mr. Twigster from the Stampin' Up! Mini Catalog! This is a super cute and fast card from my last Stamp-A-Stack. it was one of the favorite two made. So easy to make - just roll the "Snow" jumbo wheel in white ink and then just stamp Mr. Twigster in black. His nose was colored orange and his scarf was colored red with a bit of Dazzling Diamonds glitter.
This colors used are Baja Breeze and Not Quite Navy.
